There have been reports of the white iPhone 3GS discolouring due to overheating. MACNN reports that the rear of the case turns a light shade of pink after suffering from the overheating problem. Phones suffering from this problem continue to function as expected despite user concerns at the amount of heat being generated around the location of the battery. Friday, June 26th, 2009Apple increased it’s stake in Imagination Technologies, the UK company responsible for the PowerVR graphics chips in the iPhone and iPod touch to 9.5%, following Intel’s own increase to 16%. Many believe the goal is for Apple and Intel to secure easy access to the chips in the future, although the company has received calls of some concern relating to their commitment to other projects.
